DayXero ("we", "us", "our") operates the DayXero marketplace at dayxero.xyz. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over it. By using DayXero, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and any profile information you provide. Authentication is handled by Clerk. We do not store your password directly.

Listing and deal data

If you list an asset, we collect the information you submit as part of your listing — title, description, tech stack, pricing, screenshots, and documents uploaded to your data room. If you make or receive an offer, we store deal terms, messages, and milestone confirmations.

Payment information

Subscription billing is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number or payment credentials. For transaction escrow, we use Escrow.com, which has its own privacy policy and identity verification requirements.

Usage data

We collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. We use this to diagnose errors, understand usage patterns, and improve the platform. We do not sell this data.

How we use your information

We use your information to: operate and maintain the marketplace; process transactions and verify deal milestones; communicate with you about your listings, offers, and account; send transactional emails via Resend (verification codes, deal notifications, billing receipts); and comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

DayXero integrates with the following third-party services, each with its own privacy practices:

Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain records for legal or compliance reasons (e.g., completed transaction records). Anonymised usage statistics may be retained indefinitely.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. You can update your account information from your settings at any time. To request deletion or a data export, email us at [email protected].

If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you may also have rights under GDPR, including the right to object to processing and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary session cookies for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. Search indexing via Algolia may set its own cookies during search interactions.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the platform. Your continued use of DayXero after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
